Optimus 5.0 megapixel display screen bad

This is a small digital camera, I took it out of the case and left in my pocket all day. Now, when I slide open the front door, turning on the camera, my display has what I would call black stuff inside the monitor kinda splattered in a small area on the right side about in the middle. and the big problem is that I no longer can see what the monitor is displaying, I can kind of make out the image, but it is fluttering real bad. Does anyone know what happen in my pocket, I was indoors working and it did not get wet. Is the camera toast? Is there a trick that I can do to fix it? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

so, wat did u do? did u just buy another one....or could u return it? is it covered on the warranty? im 16....and i just got my camera 4 my sweet 16 and now for some weird reason.....it looks like the inside of screen is broke. i dont know wat i did.....i didnt bump it, or throw it or anything....it was in my hands the whole time. i dont know wat 2 do.....i cant afford 2 buy another one.
