Hi guys!
I am new here & have a question regarding protecting the camera while on the run. I know the straight answer is a proper camera bag with a pocket for every piece of gear. I am looking for something a bit more easier to move about with as I am quite active outdoors & really don't want to chuck a camera bag about.

I had one of those little pocket cameras, Canon Powershot, & just jam it in a side pouch of my knapsack while on the move whether it be cycling, running, hiking, etc. I have found that I am not too happy with jamming my dSLR in the main compartment of the knapsack as it bounces in there quite a bit & I end up having to wrap it in my spare shirt, etc. This makes easy access not so easy anymore.

Anyone here know of a smaller case that I can lash to a knapsack? Is there such a thing? Am I making any sense?

Thanks!

I need something for my dSLR. I don't have the Powershot anymore.

Ah ok. You might be interested in a Tamrac holster bag then. Depending what lens you have on it you can fit the camera, a lens, and some small accessories like batteries and memory cards.

Here's one:

www.tamrac.com is the manufacturer website, so you can see what other models they have.

You might want to try the Lowepro TLZ Mini. Holds my D70 and 18-125 (or other 3"-3.2" long lenses), 2 batteries, 5 CF cards, polarizing filter, IR-remote, and video cord. There are several lengths depending on which zoom you use. Since it's a top-loader access is quick while also protecting the camera/lens from impact and moisture. $20 to $80+ (depending on lens length and store) at local camera stores or on-line from B&H or Norman Camera.
