I transferred all my pictures from my SD card on the Z740 to my pc and now I can't find a way to transfer them back to the camera. I've tried the crap Easyshare software that it came with as well as Picasa and ACDSee, none of those work. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

If you use an inexpensive chip reader you can easily write the images right back to the chip. However, if the chip was full you will not be able to write all of the images back to the chip because when your images were on the chip in the .jpg format they were compressed. Now that you have downloaded to your computer they are UNCOMPRESSED. That means they might require more space than might be available on the SD chip.

The cheapest card writer I've seen is $30. I'd rather not spend that money. My parents have a Canon A75 and the software that came with it, Zoombrowser EX, allows them to transfer pictures to the camera. I've tried my camera with it and it doesn't work. I'm hoping there is some software out there that can do this for me.

You can get card reader/writers for as little as $8, so that shouldn't really be a big issue. You don't need a card reader but it will make your life easier.

The bigger problem may be that you need to recreate the camera's file system and directory/file naming conventions or the camera will not "see" the images on the card. Take a look at the files when you view the card/camera from your PC.
