Well the casio focuses faster, but has much worse image quality IMO, but has mpeg4 video mode which you can fit half an hour of video on a 1gig card with. you can only put 8-9mins with the canon. but the canon has quite a strong flash, which the casio really lacks of, so if you're more into indoor photographing, than it should certainly be the canon, if it's size is OK for you. But I think outdoor quality is way better with the canon too, the casio has an overprocessed image, which means, it's oversharpened, thus more blurry, and too much (and not so good) noise reduction causing details to fade. There's long shutter on the sd550, but the z750 has all manual funcions, and shutter speeds up to 60secs, which isn't so good as on paper, since the black frame is only taken for 4secs, than multiplied, which results in VERY noisy long exposured pictures.

thanks very much stema ...
any other comments wud be greatly appreciated ...
i would more care about the image quality and the overall features ... if they are not distinctively different in terms of the image quality and one has better features than the other i wud go for the better features and a little bit less image quality
thanks in advance for any help...
