Canon SD200 Low Light Focus Problem

Hi, I am trying to take pictures with my SD200 without using the flash; I only want the ambient light, but I always the pictures come out blurred. I have a friend with a cheaper digital camera, and he is able to take perfect pictures in low light without using the flash or tripod.

I’ve tried every setting possible and nothing... is there something I am missing?:confused:
