Hi all. I am new here and trying to find some answers. I purchased my SD400 back in May of last year and have really enjoyed it. In the past 4-5 months however I have noticed that no matter how careful I hold the camera, I get blurry pictures 90-95% of the time. I do not know if it is something I did or the camera shutter is bad. I understand that digi cameras are prone to blur if you are not exactly still but I have a steady hand and it isn't good enough.
When I first bought my camera and showed some people the pics, they went out and bought one too. One guy has had no problems but this other friend is having the same problems I am. I don't think it is my settings since I have tried to fix it manually and using the auto mode. It isn't a light issue either as I never had this problem before. I have taken some good macro shots and you need a steady hand for that. If I can take those I should surely be able to take standard pictures. What's sad is I didn't even take any holiday pics this year because it would have been pointless as all of them would have been blurry unless I used the timer and let the camera rest.
I think my shutter is messed up perhaps? Any help would be appreciated. I don't know if I want to waste my time sending it in to be fixed or just buy another camera from a different manufacturer. Below are a few pics I have taken before the blur problem.
