FYI:
Fry's is selling the Pansonic 256MB (10MB/sec) SD Card for $9.99 after $30 rebate. Heck of a deal. Had to buy one for my GPS unit.

I'm very tempted by the 256mb cards. Having said that, I already have ample 128mb cards plus some 64s and a couple of 256s. It's just so tempting to get ever more media cards yet IMO there's no real point once one has over a gigabyte worth of buying more.

Is the rebate only from a brick and mortar store? I checked out their web site and only saw the $39.99 price. No mention of a rebate. Do you know how long the sale is supposed to last?

That's really inexpensive! Prices on memory cards are dropping accross the board and the trend doesn't appear to be stopping.

Last summer I was paying GBP 25 for a single 128mb CF card. This winter, they're GBP 25 for 3x 128mb CF cards.
I shall buy no more memory cards until the 1GB cards are about GBP 20. At this rate I'd say that'd be next summer. After discounts, the 1GB cards seem to work out at $60 in the US which would equal about GBP 35. That's not bad at all when one considers only a year or so ago they were GBP 300 each.
Interestingly, the largest CF card I have seen advertised thus far is 8 GB.
