Hi I'm one of the probably hundreds of persons that are trying to decide between the Panasonic FZ5, Canon S2is and the Sony DSC-H1 camera.

Since I believe that my human eye won't really find much difference in daylight pictures between these great superzoom cameras I'm only really looking for sample pics of low light situations or night pictures.

I won't be using a tripod so I must find out the correct setup between Aperture, Shutterspeed and ISO i guess. I'm not so concerned about noise but more about pictures being totally dark or blurred. I will post some pics below that I've shot in such situations with my actual camera so you see where my problem is.

Hope I get some feedback in links to night or low light pic samples which will help me choose.

Here are some of my frustrating Fuji Finepix 2800z pics.

This is a tough subject. None of the 3 cameras will do all that great in low light unless you can use a slow shutter speed. The FZ5 is the worst of the 3 in this category. Some say the H1 is the best (of this bunch) in low-light shooting, but even then it's nothing great.

If you use flash a lot, the H1 is probably not the camera for you, as it has an overpowering and really slow recycling flash (even with my 2500mAh batteries).

It has great build quality in this class, and the LCD works really well. I love it for the reach, the fantastic out-of-camera colors and portability (compared to my D50).

Hi Jason,

thanks for your reply.
I know that this is a quite difficult subject and this is why I'm actually asking for some sample pics.

I'm quite sure all 3 cameras are so similar in image quality that my decision will probably run down to extra features, price and the quality of night pics. I guess my actual Fuji is so bad because it has no control on Exposure, Aperture or Shutterspeed. If I can do photos at least a bit better than the ones till now then I'm happy.

Another option could be the Fuji Finepix S5200/S5600 which doesn't have IS but higher ISO. But since I don't think I'll ever use a tripod I think it won't be a good idea.

I would appreciate some sample pics of low light. I have been searching different photoshare sites such as: pbase but finding night or lowlight pics is very time consuming.

Thanks again.
btw. I hope to see in the Canon & Panasonic forums some answers to this same question from the fans of those cameras.
