.: Greetings, this is my first post. I have a Canon PowerShot A95 camera, which comes with ZoomBrowser EX 4.6 software. I am using a Vaio VGN-FS550 laptop computer, with Office 2003.
I have no problems d/l any pictures to my laptop with the ZBE software. When I d/l a movie, which is in .avi format, and try to view it from within ZBE, I get an "Error-108: an unknown error occurred" message. Outside of the ZBE software, I can open and view the file with WMP, Core Media Player, VLC Media Player, Media Player Classic, QT, and Real Player. The file will not open in DivX, and returns the error: "The video file you are opening includes video data that is not recognized by the DivX Player. The file contains the following type of data: Video data: FOURCC code "MJPG". You may need to install a new video codec on your computer to watch this video."
On my computer, I have the K-Lite Codec Pack installed.
Here's where it gets weird. I want to embed a couple of short videos into a powerpoint presentation. When I do so on my laptop, Powerpoint inserts the video into the slide smoothly, but once it is moved into Powerpoint, the image appears with text at the top and bottom. The top reads: PICVideo, and the bottom read: www.jpg.com.
PIC is Pegasus Imaging Corporation, whose URL is www.jpg.com. I cannot make a connection between PIC, Vaio and Canon.
The weirdness continues: I d/l the video to my desktop computer in my office, uploaded it to Powerpoint on that machine, and the graphics as described above are not present on the video when it runs on THAT machine.
I don't know where to begin. There seems to be a problem with the Canon A95 and the Vaio...
Any thoughts on this gobbler? I am at a complete loss here.
Thank you - Randy
PS: I ran SpyBot, and found no spyware related to PIC.
