Blurry edges with telephoto lens

I have a Canon A95....I recently bought a "3X telephoto high definition" lens on ebay. Some off brand...I think it was "Tokina"..might be wrong....the edges seem blurry on all my pictures. I'm pretty new to the digital camera world. Is this a common problem? Do I need to change some setting on my camera?

Any help would be appreciated....I am returning it and shelling out the extra few bucks for the TC-DC52 now. Should be getting it within the next few days and trying it out. Here is a photo to show you what I'm talking about on the pics.

that sucks, it is probably the lens, the link didn't work for me to see the example.

3X is pushing it! And, you should only buy quality and tested converters. Stick with the TC-DC52 or 52A or check out reliable alternatives here: http://www.lensmateonline.com/newsite/A95A80.html

Just got back from SF and the photos I took with the new Canon camera are a vast improvement over the last lens. Thanks for the help.
