Hello all, I just happened to stumble upon this forum and have read through several posts and the people here seem very knowledgeable so I was hoping you guys could help me with a problem.

I recieved my camera (DSC-P100) last Christmas. Obviously this means that its out of warranty. Just recently the shutter button has stopped working. What happens is that I press it down half way, and it focuses just as it should, yet when I push it down all the way in nothing happens. First it would take a picture on a couple attempts of pushing it all the way down but now it does nothing at all. I reset the camera and did everything I could think of to fix it (other than take it apart and try my luck in there, since its obviously a hardware problem).

Could anyone suggest a solution to my problem, or notify me of a store which can fix digital cameras in New York or its surrounding area? I don't really want to pay Sony's insane fixed price to fix this thing ($181.00+taxes).

Thank you all for reading and for helping.
Boris

If anyone ever had this problem I somehow happened to fix it. I took off then back cover, and the atempted to take the front off(got italmost all the way off but the top was stuck; probably from the several drops it has taken). I then blew air into where the shutter button is. I then reasembled it and it worked. I probably just readjusted the connector to the camera from the button somewhere in all of that so it works now.
