My husband bought this camera, and we can't find the manual. I can figure out most of it but, I'm trying to take pictures of my newborn smiling, but she's always moving and if there is any movement at all the whole picture is blurry...why? and how can I fix this? Please help this new mom take great pictures of her baby!! Thanks :)

You are taking pictures without flash in low light, so the shutter speed is too slow to freeze any motion. Typically you want the shutter speed to be above 1/60th of a second. Take a look at the readout on the top LCD to verify this.

So either use the flash or, in liu of using the flash, Nikon has a very nice feature called BSS (Best Shot Selector) that when enabled will take several shots for each shutter release, and automatically pick the best one. I have used this on my 990, frequently, and it is very effective.
