I am looking for a wide angle camera with excellent image quality, beautiful color saturation, good battery life, and ease of use. The Kodak P880 looks very appealing but I have not read many user reviews and Cnet.com only gave it a 6.2 (although users gave it 8.2). The E900 is still new and not as wide angle (32mm) but more compact and I love Fuji colors. The Canon Pro1 has received mixed reviews and there are rumors that Canon may announce the release of an updated model. If Canon took the G6 and made gave it a wide angle lens, while keeping everything else the same (including 7 megapixels, not more) I think I would be sold on that one.
I am a newbie of sorts, and use a Canon SD550 as a pocket camera and a Panasonic FZ5 for UZ. Any thoughts and suggestions about these models in terms of image quality, color, battery life and ease of use? Thanks
Add the Konica Minolta A200 to the list!

Would you consider selling the FZ-5 on eBay and buying a Canon S2 and a wide angle lens for it??
Great lens, great color, incredible battery life 500+ shots on AA rechargeables, etc. It would more than replace your FZ-5 and give you the features you are wanting to add on.
Plus, one software suite - both your Canon SD550 and Canon S2 operate on the same software.

Donato-
Jeff just finished a review on the P-880. Have you seen it?

Hi Speaklighltly,
Yes, I did read Jeff's review of the P880. It sounds like a fine camera and I love those Kodak colors. The zoom only goes to 140mm and with the optional telephoto lens it goes to 196mm. It only gets 285 shots per charge, which is OK, but not great. The first reply to this post from TampaJim suggested I sell my FZ5 and purchase the Canon S2SI with a wide angle lens & adapter. So my questions for you are:
What do you think of this idea?
I guess my ideal camera is one that offers both a wide angle lens and as much zoom capability as possible. The Fuji S9000 was an attempt to provide such a model, but it does not seem to receive very good reviews, or should I be reading elsewhere?
If you wanted a wide angle with ultrazoom (as close to 12x as possible), and in a more camera that was not super bulky, which would you choose and why?
Since I already have a Pan. FZ5 and I am happy with it, couldn't I just attach a wide angle lens to that? Or is the S2SI better in terms of image quality?
Thanks,
Donato
