S602Z compact flash problem

I have gone thru 3 SanDisk Ultra 256mb compact flash's and can't get any of them to format in my camera. I install the disk and it says "NOT INITALIZED", then I go to format and it doe's its thing and then displays "DISK ERROR". I can't believe all three disk's were bad. I just got this one from SanDisk and the only place it has been is in the camera. Is there a special way to format these disk's and if so what is it?

Although most reviewers missed it, Fuji never promised that the S602 would support compact flash cards. On page 14 of the manual, they say you can use SmartMedia or Microdrives, and point out that some compact flash cards may not be compatible (though apparently some are). I guess you found one that isn't.

I might be inclined to criticise Fuji for this incomplete implementation of CFII, but it's there in black & white. :o
