Hi everyone, this is my first post here and hope to be a regular :)
I need help on deciding between two cameras. I currently have the Olympus Evolt E-300 D-SLR and I love it, it takes beautiful pictures and performance is great. The only problem I have is the size of the camera, it really restricts me from taking it every place I want. Plus walking around with it (even in a case) in Europe on vacation just screams tourist
What I would like to get in its place is a much smaller camera that I could pretty much carry around all the time and have easy access to it. At the same time I don't want a simple camera, I've gotten too accustomed to the D-SLR. I am willing to sacrifice some of the features if D-SLR, but here are the features I won't do without and must have:
1. Size: smaller than D-SLR, enough to fit in one hand
2. 7 megapix or greater
3. Manual Aperture & Shutter priority
4. AF Lamp
5. Manual focus
6. Good macro focus range
7. Whitebalance override
8. Min shutter: F2.8 - F4.0 / F8.0 (avg)
9. LCD >2.5
The two cameras I seem to find these features in and like the most are the Sony DSC-V3 and Canon S80. The Canon is obviously smaller than the Sony, but the Sony's overall performance seem to be much higher than the Canon. From experience and from reviews, which of the two would you recommend?
Thank you in advance.
