well, me being me, i will likely STILL buy a compact P & S, and i just saw on the home page here panasonic has the lz3 and 5 coming out......i was looking at the LZ2 originally and went DSLR...lol
looks like the new models will hav AF assist, which is what i would like AND 6x zoom whil still being compact (so much so the wife will never see it...lol)
maybe i will say its a "gift" for her...hehehe
