Filters

Heya`s i am new to photography as iam currently doing a Graphic art course;)
anyway so ive got myself a Nikon D70 SLR i just brought some Fotar close up filters which i put on my 18 -70 mm ED lens no idea on how to really use it yet i was wondering if any one has got any and can give me some tips and or show me some photos that have been taken with the filters Thanks

Hello. I'm having a close up filter for my Canon Eos 300 (non D) with the Cokin system. Normaly a close up filter is easy to use. Just put it on your lens. Your have a certain distance you have to keep for getting a sharp picture. You must respect this distance. But i dont know if there is a difference when you use a digital Slr. But normally it should work just keep the right distance :D
