I bought the Nikon 70-300ED lens as a gift for someone who has the Nikon D-70 digital camera. Is this lens a digital lens and if not is there such a lens for this camera.

I bought the Nikon 70-300ED lens as a gift for someone who has the Nikon D-70 digital camera. Is this lens a digital lens and if not is there such a lens for this camera.

This is not a digital specific lens but will work very well on both digital and film SLR's. There is rumored to be a newer DX (digital only) version with VR (Vibration Reduction or image stabilization) but no official release yet. My guess is that it will cost considerably more than the ED version.

I'm sure that the recipient of the AF 70-300ED will like, and appreciate, the gift.
