Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and new to photography period.
Just recently I bought myself a Kodak z740. For a first digi-cam I'm pretty happy with it so far. The size of the camera is reasonable and the wide range of operating modes provide both convenience and room for experimentation. I find myself using the limited "manual" mode more and more often. This is what brings me here.
Now, another recent purchase I made was a 52mm lens/filter adapter along with a hood and a UV filter. I figured that it will at least protect my lens from scratches and debris. The camera came with a plastic 55mm adapter that allows me to mount a supplementary wide/telephoto lens. Could someone please explain/advise if the 52mm adapter was rushed purchase? I realize the camera has a wide range of focal lengths but if I consider a 2x/4x/10x macro lense will I be better off with a 55mm instead? I find that 52mm accessories are easier to find.
Thanks everyone, I'd really appreciate some input...
