Hello everyone, Just wanted to get alittle feedback about this camera (dsc-w1) from people who might have one. For instance, how does that large lcd screen do outside, can you see it? Does it take good pictures, how is that red-eye? And what about delay between shots? Anything you think is good or bad about it I would like to know. Consumer reports doesn't seem to be very impressed with this camera but I thought Jeff's review of it was pretty good. I'm confused! Anyway how do the owners like it? By the way I have the old Sony DSC-S70 and I'm pretty happy w/it just wanting to up grade I have had it since it came out (a long time ago it seems).
Thanks for the help :)

I've had the camera for about 2 weeks. It seems to be pretty fast in terms of time between pictures. It takes longer if you are using the flash, but that is to be expected. I have got some great pictures with the camera in just the "dummy" mode (point and shoot). I have experimented with the macro pictures a bit and am also very pleased. Battery life is better than my previous digital , but it was a 1st generation camera.

I got a 512 mg memory stick pro from SANDISK to use with it. And it seems pretty fast at storing the pictures. I transfered some pictures from the camera to my laptop and was very happy with the transfer speed of pictures from camera to laptop. The interface is USB 2 which is a big improvement over my previous camera which used USB 1.

The camera doesn't come with a case. I had to buy one seperatly.

The charger that comes with it is adequate, but I'll probably get a rapid rate charger in the near future.
