4-in-1 digital card reader?

I saw a plug-in digital card reader on one of the morning shows, and got in too late to hear the manufacturer. The device will read all cards, even from older model cameras. The cost is around $20 (which got my attention)! Any ideas of the manufacturer and where to purchase one?

I've got a 12-in-1 from Sandisk. There are many brands and models out there.

I checked the Sandisk website, but didn't see any details on a reader for cards from all older and newer camera makes. I'm not familiar with the various card names, so perhaps the 12-in-1 would do the trick. I'll have to search in a brick/mortar.

Here it is. (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?sku=A0431552&cs=19&c=us&l=en) I'm sure there are others like it, I found mine in Staples, IIRC. The only formats that are really interesting are SD, xD, CF I and II, SmartMedia, and Memory Stick. But there are half a dozen different types of memory sticks. That covers pretty much all types of memory cards on the market now or previously.

I don't find all-in-one anything is ever much good. I have so many examples of things that "do everything" that in fact do everything badly that you'd be amazed. The HP I'm using has a 6-in-1 card reader. It will not read XD cards though.

It's a card reader?! Either it reads them or it doesn't. So far, this one has read everything I've thrown at it on mutliple computers. It's a pretty simple device. If you need to read multiple formats this type of reader makes the most sense.

Certainly - if it works. The built-in card reader does not read XD cards inserted correctly into the XD slot. I get hardware conflicts galore with an external card reader but it will read an XD card externally. I have so many experiences of one-size-fits-all solutions failing abysmally at everything that I only buy single card type readers etc now.
