FZ-30 in low light

Im very serious about buying the FZ-30. Im a little worried about the noise in the pics, but from what i've seen i hope it wont bother me that much.
One of the most important things for me is how does the LCD do in low light...
I do alot of work in clubs, where it is pretty dark...and with the camera i have now (canon A510) its a nightmare!
Im an amateur in photography, but slowly getting serious about it. ;)

Oh and just one more thing...i live in Serbia , and the price of this DC is around 600-700 euros :eek:
I would gladly order one online...IF I COULD! But thats not important now.... :rolleyes:

The LCD on the FZ30 works better than some digital cameras as it does not lose light until the 1/2 press of the shutter.
However as much as I like the FZ30 it is my opinion for using in low light it is not the best choice, as would no ultrazoom camera.
If most of your shooting is in low light you should in my opinion look at the Fuji F10 or 11 or the Sony R1, or a DSLR.
For outdoors and good light the FZ30 may be the best camera made but not in low light.
I really do not think it is the noise ..it is as with most all digital cameras you can not get a fast enough shutter speed in low light.

Even though the FZ-30 wouldn't be the best choice for low light, im still sticking with it :)
Could you maybe post a picture taken indoor in low light? If im not asking too much...thnx ;)
Even though most of my work related picture taking does take place in low light, i like shooting outdoors the most.

I apsolutely love all panasonic products. And i dont think they'll dissapoint me with this DC neither.

As long as you understand the problem ...I think you will get good results , I was concerned about someone not understanding the problem using an ultrazoom. And while I have no photos like you want as I use a flash in low light.

These photos are not mine and were taken with a FZ20... the FZ30 will do at least this good.

Wow! I am really impressed. I was surprised to see such great results in low light. I see that all of the concert shots were at 80 ISO but even with what I would consider to be very long exposures 1/15 etc everything looks pretty crisp...IS undoubtedly helped there.

I typically shoot local wildlife that are only out at dawn and dusk and had all but eliminated the FZ30 from my short list. These photos have me rethinking that decision.

Now that I can help with... I have some photos taken at about dawn of a black bear I needed ISO 200 but I used 400 and I think the photos are still OK.
Once again with a FZ20 with a 14B attached ..and a FZ30 will do better.

This was not the best of light there was a fellow that stopped after I had been there a while and he had a Nikon D100 on a tripod and he told me it was not working very well for him.....Maybe he expected more than I did but I took a couple hundred photos of this bear and am happy with most of them
and most were taken when it was darker than when he setup.

Nice demonstration of FZ20's low light capabilities, Gene. Did you use any NR program? It certainly doesn't seem so.
