I plugged my camera in with the wrong voltage

OMG! My parents just got me a new camer (Vivitar 3625) and I thought I had the correct adapter for it. I plugged it into the wall, and nothing happened. Now the camera is emitting a weird smell and it won't turn on. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I fried it.. any suggestions?

Was it purchased on a Platinum Mastercard or Platinum VISA? If so, you are protected by the 90 day Platinum protection plan (FREE) against theft, accident, loss, etc. Otherwise, try getting in the long return line and hope the cashier is really tired and going easy on folks.
