Transferring Pics

Note: I am new and this is my 1st digicam. The indicates an Fujifilm AC Adaper is need that is sold separately. Not sure why they would sell a kit and you can't transfer pics without buy extra. Can the transfer not be done via the digicams own battery power?

yes it can,
but may need adapter later on to upgrade cameras own firmware
(internet connection to fuji site by using fujifinepix software supplied with camera)
