I need:

1) A macro and a telefoto lens, preferably 62mm thread so no step-up/down rings are needed. If not possible would I need one of those adapters from JK consultants on Ebay for any of the lenses?

2) A place to buy extra Panasonic batteries. I bought one of the aftermarket ones from B&H photo in New York City and it is a pain in the rear because it does'nt fit well either in the camera nor in the charger, so I need a place to buy one of the Panasonic batteries.

3) A remote shutter and an extension. I heard that the aftermarket ones are cheap in quality and was wondering if Panasonic sells one dedicated for the camera.

4) A filter to help me take better pics through glass and water and another one to help soften a persons' features when taking portrait shots. I believe Hoya makes separate filters for each purpose but I am not sure which ones they are.

I know I can do searches for each question but I am pressed for time and my computer time is limited. Thanks in advance.

You need a aftermarket adapter to add any lenses and that one from JKs is a good one to get although not the only one.
If you want all 62mm stuff a 6T is a good Macro lens and a Tcon 14B is a good telephoto lens for the FZ20.

A good place for batteries is the battery barn and while they are not original they usually fit and work fine.

You can get the remote from Pansonic but I have one from there and one from phayee and the quality is not much different and Phayee has the only extention I know of.

You need a Polarizing filter for the glass thing and a UV filter for all around use.
You can get them both from JK's

For picture taking thur glass and water a polarizer does the job.
1- The FZ 20 has a setting for sharpness you can set it to low.
2- Most PP software also have a soft focus feature.
3- They also sell soft focus filters $$.
4- Take pane of glass or and old UV filter. Hold a can of black spray paint three feet from the glass and give quick spray, season to taste.

1. No answer.

2. Try ebay.

3. The Phayee remote is excellent. They even have a new one that is extra long for wildlife snaps.

Have a Merry Christmas!
