Interesting. For a second, it may seem like they might be interested in making an SLR. But rather, it talks about a new dimension for photography.

Hmmmm.......Can live preview on a dSLR count as a new dimension?

Ktixx,
Read the handwritten note in the picture.

Zero,
Zeiss' specialty is glass, I'm not sure they would get involved with live preview, but could be.

Sounds more like Zeiss will be making SLR lenses. And the dimension would be Zeiss lenses quality, just marketing to say how good their lenses are.

I am given to understand that there is a possibility that Zeiss will start making lenses for Canon soon.

Interesting,

Could a possible Canon / Zeiss lens agreement be some side handed way ( in a little way ) of diminishing the Olympus 4/3's system of built for digital lenses?

Why would Canon permit use of their mount?

We will find out soon, Nicholas

DPReview (the site itself, not the forum goers) says that it's actually a Nikon F-Mount Zeiss lens. Why Nikon? Not a clue. It would be more fair to cater both Canon and Nikon.

Perhaps Nikon needs a selling point since all the best images these days are taken on Canon equipment.
