I have a Samsung digital camera with about 160 pics ready to be uploaded to my computer. I can view these pictures on my camera just fine. The problem comes from when I try to transfer these pics to my Dell laptop via USB cable. I keep getting an error message whenver I try to open any of these files, which are currently in the "Removable Drive" of my computer, which is assigned to E:
Samsung tech support seems to believe this is a software problem, since the pics are viewable on my camera, and my computer recognizes that there are 160 "files" on the removable drive, but can't open them.
I find it hard to believe that it's a software program, since none of these pictures can be opened with MSPaint, Internet Explorer, Dell's Image Viewer, etc.
Several people have recommended a memory card reader, but I figured I would give it one more shot before I went that route. If I do need to buy a memory card reader, what are my chances of this being able to view my photos?
Thanks for all the help! This is really frustrating!!
