I'm starting to do research for my first SLR camera. But before I get the camera, I would like to get a good book on SLR photography. Specifically, I would like to learn about composition, everyday photography, sports photography, low-light photography, and the different lenses and filters out there.

What books do you recommend? :)

Okay. So far, I've found the following books based on Amazon.com reviews:
Photography (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0130282715) (7th ed.) by Barbara London
Digital Photography Expert Techniques (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0596005474) by Ken Milburn
Basic Book of Photography, The (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0452284252) (5th ed.) by Tom Grimm and Michelle Grimm
Complete Idiot's Guide to Photography Like A Pro, The (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0028643879) (2nd ed.) by Mike Stensvold, Photographic Magazine
Does anybody have any of these books?

While not specifically for SLR cameras you might find the 3 books by Ansel Adams instructional as well as broadening your horizons.

They are:

The Camera
The Negative
The Print

and are available on amazon.com or from your local library.
