Buydig.com and other stores are clearing out the E-1 at bargain basement prices. Combine that with the official $50 rebate on the camera, and you have the body only price for this camera dipping below $700.
The build quality is nice, but it might be a bit dated in its design, so you'll have to weigh its pro components (build quality, large VF) against its outdated status to see if it's really worth it. For the average consumer, the E-500 is better, but if you want an E-1 for a cheap price, now's the time to do it.
