xD picture card or CFII microdrive I can use both but which?

I just bought the Fuji S9000 which can use the xD or CFII. I have been using older CFII cards (2 years old) and am familiar with them and also read lots on here about the different cards too but still must ask. Since I have the option of using either type is one of them superior to the other in any fashion? Speed I think would be my biggest request if one had an advantage over the other but is there any really?

I think you are slightly off on your information. The Fuji S9000 can use CF I or CFII - Not JUST CF II. I would not recomend a microdrive (CF II) as they consume a lot of power and are more prone to problems than Standard Flash Memory. I would however recomend a Normal Compact Flash over XD. CF is usually cheaper, faster and you can get bigger cards.

That was kind of my thinking about the bigger and cheaper but did not know for sure. Thanks for the input.

From what I learned, I'm using CF II, it faster than CF I and faster than xD. The power isn't the problem with S9000 since I could take 200+ shots with internal flash before the battery drains.
