This camera was recomended to me at the local "ritz camera", and I am wondering if it would be good for me. I would use it to take pics of my young (and fast) children,,,as well as for things like boy scouts, camp, skiing, mt biking, ect.... so some of them would be action shots. (less shutter lag is key)

any input on this camera is appreciated as i am having trouble finding reviews on it. (only found 1 so far)

thanks

I just bought a Fuji 5200..from the 2 weeks that I've had it I'm very impressed..fast focus, low light ability, natural light mode takes awesome pictures w/o flash..would be good for pictures of kids in motion. It's a real nice camera..:)

The S5200 look nice and feel nice

Sadly, for an unknown reason, all major review web site don't even have it on their upcoming review...

User report are very good so far, ISO noise is quite low but that's all I know for now. I wish one of the major web site could do a real review, because the only 3 available are too positive to be true (no camera is perfect !)

Thanks for the info. I have also considered the Nikon D50, but I hope that the S5200 will serve my needs so i don't have to drop the extra $300 for a digital slr. I know that the D50 would be better, but for my needs i think the S5200 will work fine!
