hello,I just got a Minolta Dimage f100 camera but I don't have any software,or cables with the camera.I would like to know if I can interface the camera with my pc laptop without the software,and if not where I can get the software that goes with the camera.Any help would be appreciated ,Thanks LTU

I'm not sure what you mean by "interface" but if what you want is to download pictures from the F100 to your PC you don't need the Minolta software (Dimage Viewer). What you do need is the USB cable. The F100 is a "Mass Storage Device" and once connected to a USB port on your computer appears as a removable drive from which you can easily copy your pictures to your PC's hard drive.

Another solution would be to get a USB 2.0 compatible SD card reader and plug your SD card into it. The advantages to this are you don't have to use your camera's batteries while transferring files and the file transfer is much faster than copying files directly from the camera. The only downside to a card reader is that you have to handle the card more when removing it from the camera, inserting it into the reader, reinserting it back into the camera, etc.
