Hello all, noob here, please don't throw anything sharp at me.

I've been looking around for a camera that takes a different sort of picture. I really enjoy the rectangular sort of picture with a white border around it. Lots of movie still pictures use that format. Do any of you know of a certain camera that takes pictures like that? (besides the Polaroid) From what I understand, the only way to obtain that effect is to crop it and print it.

Any help would be graciously appreciated,
Rae

It's not the camera producing the white border it is the software allowing you to add a border. You can use any camera you like and buy a image editing program like adobe photoshop elements and it should let you add any type of border you want around your photos. There may be a better program for adding borders. I just wanted to let you know it's not the cameras making the border it's the software on the computer or film print lab in the case of a film camera.

If you are printing from home, try using the software which came with the printer (such as Canon's Easy-PhotoPrint or PhotoRecord). It's an easier way than mucking around with Photoshop.
