Hello All,

I have had sony -p200 for about 6 months but have had about 200 shots only. Lately i am having a big problem with indoor low light shots with flash. Even though the flash fires, the pictures are very dark and no blur!!

It seems the flash firing and exposure are happening at different times. Is that a possible cause or am i doing something wrong. i see it in the auto mode with auto flash / forced flash / program mode. But sometimes, the pics come out great...its like 20% the flash actually brightens up image ...rest 80% it doesnt help the image.

Could anyone suggest on it? I dont want 300$ going down the drain !!!

Thanks,
Kaz.

Hi Kaz, Sorry for the late reply. The P-200 has had some bad reviews when it comes to the flash. You can go to the menu and scroll to the flash section and choose +, but I really don't know if that will help much. Sony does sell a slave flash that attaches to the camera. This would probably be your best bet but it cost $100 from Sony.

I hope yours is still under warranty. bring it to Sony repair shop. (not authoirized 3rd party). The local authorized 3rd party repair could not fix mine, they finaly sent it to sony and sony fix mine.

I was without camera for 4 months.

Good luck.
