* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera?
Under $300.

* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?
Something portable (which all cameras in my price range probably are anyway)

How many megapixels will suffice for you?
4-6 mp (would like to be able to print high quality, cropped 8x10's)

* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify) Standard or Ultrazoom

* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)
10

Do you care for manual controls?
not important to me

* What will you generally use the camera for?
Mostly indoor or outdoor snapshots of people

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?
up to 8x10

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?
yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?
ocassionally

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate?
I like Kodak (not essential), but I've had good experience with their products.

Are there particular models you already have in mind?
Kodak Z7590, Z740, C340, DX7440 (I'm particularly interested in knowing what the difference in the Kodak Z and DX models is. Also, is their much image quality difference among the C models and the Z/DX model's. Also, I'm concerned about battery life. How much more battery life do teh Z/DX models have? I would prefer a camera with a built-in lens cap.)

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) no
