First of all, let me thank the administrator for providing this great site.

I plan to buy Nikon 3200 or Nikon 3700. Please give your suggestions in selecting one of these. I have a query, If I do not use Nikon 3700 quite frequently will the battery life would be reduced. Also suggest me which one has got good picture quality.

Thanks in advance for your kind help.

I used to be a big Nikon small camera fan, but recently Canon seems to have pulled ahead. Their better cameras are a little larger than Nikon, but you get more for your money. I think you need to include the Canon A75 in your grouping. Read the reviews. For $299 I don't think there are many cameras out there that can match it.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Nikon D70 and CP990, but somewhere, along the line, Nikon lost the recipe for all-in-ones.

I don't know. The 5700 looks pretty good to me. I played with one in the camera shop. It seems a little heavy on the lens side but otherwise looks good.

Well, we aren't talking 'bout the 5700, are we? :) 5700 is a great camera, but the fella mentioned the 3700, which is somewhat in a different league then the 5700. In terms of point and shoot capablities, the Canon A80 is much more feature-rich it seems, with full manual controls.

If it's between the 3200 and the 3700, I would go with the 3700, Hari.
