HI, I would like to be able to get increased telephoto range for the FZ5. I have seen adverts on Ebay for 2.3 x telephoto lenses which are sold as compatable lenses for the FZ5. Has anyone tried / bought / used any of these and what are the results. They are sometimes sold with a wide angle lens. Also how do they fit onto the FZ5 ??
Your help greatly appreciated

Thanks
Ray

I do not have a thing against buying lenses on Ebay I got a couple 14B's and a B300 there but I would stay away from the off name brands as they are never what they claim to be and very poor quality.

try this one Sony VCL-DH1758 or a Tcon 17

Hi
I am a novice photographer and I bought a FZ5 for a holiday to Kenya. On the advise of several members of this forum I bought a Canon TL55 teleconverter. I was able to get some good long range shots on maximum zoom, with the Canon attached. Also, the Canon's thread is the same diameter as the FZ5 so no adjustments or step up/down rings are required and it's lightweight in comparison to some other teleconverters.
Hope this helps

Kevin

Thanks for the info - I will have a look at the ones you mention.
There are a couple of ads on Ebay for Opteka ?? The advert is for a 3.5 telephoto for £54 from the US - is this a good product ??seems quite a low price - what do you think ??
The link is as follows.

OK on trip Kevin - sounds just the job, I guess you used the Lens hood adaptor and fitted the lens to that ??

Hi Ray

Exactly, I just screwed the teleconverter onto the lens hood adapter and left it in situ majority of the time as above 2 x zoom vignetting stops.
