As a newbie in the Camera world (both digital and analouge)
I have read a lot of reviews and done research
to buying my first Digital camera.
I have made a list of some models i specially like
and i hope someone can help me choose my first camera.
While you CAN recomend other alternatives from the Cameras i have listed
i Prefer you help me choose one of the ones i have listed, Thanks.
Budget
=========
* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Please be as specific as possible.
= In my country it be about 400-500 Euro
(camera is more expensive here)
this mean i can go up to cameras such as Canon Sd550/Ixus 750 or S80.
Size
=========
* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?
= It is IMPORTANT it can fit into the Jeans pocket
Features
==========
1.How many megapixels will suffice for you?
= 5-6 is enough (i actually prefer not to go much over 7 Megapixles
2. What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify)
= 3x-4X is fine but if it has more then better.
3.How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)
= 9
4. Do you care for manual controls?
= YES defently
I want manual control over for example:
Speed camera compensation , white balance , manual iso settings etc...
It is also useful camera has Automatic so it can be easy in the beginning.
General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for?
= Outdoor photos in Bright sunlight (beaches, parks)
I will also make Bus/Trains photos (when theyre not moving)
I will also make some nightshots
Nightshots will be taken from a 4th Floor building and long distance.
Webcam if possible?
Note: Is important camera fit into jeans pocket.
* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?
= NO, Not big ones only smale not much bigger than the palm of a hand.
when uploading photo to internet usually 800X600 or 1024X768 size max.
Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?
= I will make SOME Nightshots Photos
from 4th floor building long distance , when city light up at night.
other than that i will not make many indoor photos, but Outside.
*Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?
= Defently NOT
Miscellaneous

* Are there particular brands you like or hate?
= I Strongly dislikes OLYMPUS, so whatever you do DONT recomend Olympus
I also dont like Sony (Cheap buildt), Nikkon (too big) , HP (bad nightquality)
I mostly like Cannon, Pentax and Fuji (kodak and konica is intressing too)
* Are there particular models you already have in mind?
= YES, thesee are the ones i have in mind:
CANON S50 / S60
CANON 580
CANON S550 / IXUS 750 (Have a lot in mind)

= Wide angle would be useful , manual controls , maybe Iso-noise reduction.
NOTE:
It must be a Size to Fit jeans pocket
I feel most drawn toward Canon, Pentax or Fuji
I am a bit unsure about Konica quality (but i know they are good for night)
I feel more and more drawn away from Kodak V550/V530 (No manual control?)
I hope you can recomend a good camera to me
Mostly choosing from my list but is ok to recomend another pocket camera
