Need a digital cam with high Macro capability

I just bought a canon A620 specifically for the macro mode - 1cm - closest than anything else i could find. However, I don't like the camera overall, too bulky and complicated. I just posted also looking for something with manual focus and apeture to compensate for less of a macro capability.
