I just get a new FZ20. How can I get my close up jewel ring shot as big as that from my old Minolta 2330 zoom (3cm min macro distance)? Should I place some 72mm close up lens in front of the adator hood? I try to place Cokin closeup +1 as well as +3 and there seems no effect. Should I get a +10 for a try? Could anyone help? Thanks.

TakIf your Cokin +3 is like my Nikon 6T +3 lens, it works with the FZ20 when you have the zoom at maximum (12X). Set that way, you should find that your subject comes into focus at a point around ~25 cm from the lens. See if that works for you. I do this regularly with my FZ10, and I'm pretty sure the FZ20 works the same way.

Thank John. I try as you said. It works for me. The close up lens were picked up a day earlier. I am new of using them. I did not realize I need to set it to T. Thanks again.

You might also try zooming to 3x for macro w/o a macro attachment. That seems to be the len's sweetspot for macro.
