Hey Mike,

Congratulations on buying the EasyShare DX7590 digital camera. I hope you're enjoying it - and it does seem like you're having a good time...
That's a wonderful picture to start with, what an adorable dog... lovely image.
I would love to see some more of your pictures. You're welcome to visit the Kodak forum at DPreview (here (http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1011))... It's a more active forum that will be a whole lot nicer to be in.

Good luck!

Hi Mike,

I was wondering where did you purchased your Kodak EasyShare DX7590 from, was it from online? Because I reckon for 640 AUD its a jolly good price for this camera in AUS! :)

ahh i got it from clive peeters. they price match. used a price from ccccamerahouse.com.au which was $815 with a kodak 256 mem card (worth $175 AUD) he threw in a $50 JVC tripod and bag too. i took the mem card back to kmart (because i already have 1 x 256mb and 1 x 128mb) and got my $175 back so all up the camera and tripod came to $640 AUD. i bought myself a pelican hard case ($60) with the change.

camera888.com.au sell for $690 AUD thats the closest ive seen

P.S. that dog is a psycho. no self control whatsoever

cheers mike

Mike,

I just got my DX7590 home and I notice that when I am framing a shot I am getting serious bleeding vertically across the screen where there is a bright spot in the subject - such as sun glinting on a car or even bright white laundry which is bleeding red bands across both the LCD screen and viewfinder - wonder if you noticed this or whether i have a dud?

Most cameras do this... perfectly normal.

Dear Mike, that is normal as Jeff told you and please dont point directly it at bright sun, it can cause serious damage to your eyes and camera.
Welcome to Kodak forum with powerful 7590.
