Please help, I broke my LCD

Okay, so i'm new to this site but i have been searching and looking all over trying to find somewhere to replace my LCD screen which i cracked on my Elixim EX-S500. Searching this site i have found a very useful thread but quickly discovered that it was for the canon digital camera, not my casio. Does anyone know if casio does the same with selling lcd through their part replacement center? Also I heard somewhere that taking apart a digital camera on your own will ruin the camera. Is this true? Someone please help me or provide me with a link to any useful information. Thanks alot
