The memory stick along with the DC seems pretty small. My former memory stick even couldn't be inserted in. Which kind of the memory disk should I buy?
Just learned Circuit City had the SanDisk 512MB Memory Stick PRO Duo on sale... Not sure if this one is fine. Thanks!
The SD300 uses SD (Secure Digital) media cards.

There are several formats of memory for digital cameras: CompactFlash (CF), Secure Digital (SD), xD, and MemoryStick. All the formats are physically different sizes and will not work on cameras not designed for them.
The Canon SD300 takes SD cards; notice the "SD" in the name of the camera. Any manufacturers SD card will work in your camera, some are faster than others, but this camera cannot take advantage of the high-speed memory cards anyways. I have Lexar and Sandisk cards, but other brands will work just fine.
