It's been a pretty slow day here so far, and because I'm just a little bored, here's one I shot at Seaworld a few days ago. In fact, it's been selected as a finalist in a weekly photo contest I entered. For the life of me though, I can't see why. It's not exactly the best photo I've ever shot.

And why not!
Ooh, I've got one a bit like that I took at Universal Studios
I will see if I can dig it out when I get home from work.

Ahh - but we can't always have 'best shots' and sometimes our
second best can be quite interesting and thought provoking even.
I think being sponteneous and sticking a photo on the forum
'just because' is good, and you are in the right company to do so.
I hope you do a few more like that - we don't need to always hand pick are
'most perfect' photos for sharing.
Also - do you find fiddling around and posting your pics theraputic?
I do.
Got any more random shots you fancy sharing???
really enjoying your photos on here - keep posting...

Geoff,

I couldn't agree with you more. Even when I was shooting film, it took forever to learn to just toss the really bad shots, but there were so many I kept that weren't my "best." To me, photos are frequently taken to create memories, and to do that, they needn't be even close to perfect. This particular photo is the classic example of that. Not my best, or even close, but it will always remind me of a lovely day and the fun that was had (not that you'd ever catch me on that thing).

Since we'll be going to the Wild Animal Park tomorrow, I should have some good shots, and some more of those "just because" shots, and yes, I will post. I'm not sure about therapeutic, but it's fun for me, and I learn so much from seeing what others do, how could I do less?

eaglssong,

I like it, and until I studied it more closely, I thought the splashes were angel wings and you had manipulate it to look like such.

Great shots :)
