I'm gutted with this shot. :( Thought it looked cracking through the viewer, but I needed to stand up slightly higher to get St Peter's higher up in the shot and the metal bar lower.

Nice set of shots. Rome is one of my favourite spots. I was in the Sistine chapel a few years ago. Are you allowed to take pictures there??

Trevi fountain, also by night. It looks so peaceful. However, day (or night) there are hundreds of people milling around in the small square it sits in.

P.S. Fat Bloke where was the spiral staircase? Is it at the end of the Vatican museum walk-through??

Hi Glenn, Nice photos.

Yes the spiral staircase is at the end of the 'one way system' in the Vatican museum.

As for the Sistine Chapel photos. Well, as we walked down the corridor just about to go in, there is a tannoy that tells you to keep quiet and not to take photos. Then as you enter the noise is really loud from all the talking and everyone was taking photos. So "when in Rome, do as the Romans do" and all that. :D

Never been to Rome but these images look great guys. It's going to be another place to go on the must visit list.

I love the pictures. Have never been to Rome, but was on the list to do a few years back when I was in Italy. Got Venice instead. This a beautiful country and your shots capture that beauty!
