I have a picture with a picture frame in it. I want to make the inside of the frame transparent but not having any luck. I used the help center but couldn't get it to work. Can anyone offer any advice on this. Thanks a bunch.

cut out the center of the pictuer (everything but the frame). Paste it on a different layer in the exact same position it was just in and turn down the opacity of the frame layer. Hope this helps.

I'm using PS7, but should be similiar.
1) Open image
2) New/Layer from background - this converts background to a layer
3) Select inside the frame with the Marquee tool and then use the eraser inside this.
This should leave you with the frame. Hope this helps.
