Question re Fuji E550 review

In the new review of the Fuji E550, the reviewer suggests that the best photos will be obtained by shooting at 12M/F and downsizing to 6M. How does one downsize to 6M? If someone can tell me how this is done, I would appreciate an answer.

You'll have to use image editing software like Photoshop Elements... or just shoot at the 6M setting and forget about it.

Hi, and thanks for the review, I'm wondering how this camera stands up against the Canon S-60 because that's the only other camera that has enough wideangle (and even better at 28mm) that I'm looking for.
The things that I'm particular interested in, is speed, battery "life" and of course picture quality.
