Has anyone tried the new Tamron DI 28-300mm and DII 18-200mm Lenses. Any other reccommendtations in this price range

I'd recommend more but shorter range zooms eg 17-35, 28-75, 70-200, 150 - 300 as you'll get the most optical quality and usability from that range.

Sigma makes an 18-200mm for about the same price as the Tamron. The speed is the same, and the size and weight are very similar. You don't say what kind of camera you have, but the Sigma doesn't come in a Konica Minolta mount, while the Tamron does.

The Tamron 18-200 is also available branded as Promaster. It's the same price and the same lens.
