I've narrowed my choice on DSLR to these two. Initially, I was considering the D50 but I feel I'd benefit more from the features that the others provide.
The D50 with the 18-70 lens would only be about $50 less than the D70 kit so it really doesn't make sense.
B&H has the D70 kit for $929 after rebate and Circuit City has the D70s kit for $1039 after rebate and instant discount. I'd have the camera shipped from B&H so that is about $50 in savings for tax. So, the difference between the two would be around $160. Is the D70s that much better? For that difference I could get the 70-300 lens and the remote.
I really don't care about the .2" LCD difference or the subtle changes between the two. If I got the D70 I would also get the wireless remote. I've heard that it only really works from the front because it's infared. Can the remote be used from the side for tripod work?
Thanks
