Help with buying a new camera....

Hello,

I'm currently in the market for a digital camera, but can't make a decision on which one would be best for me. Between 300 and 400 dollars is my price range, and I'm looking for a camera with some simplicity, and still have alot of features (For those days where I'm feeling froggy!). Anyway, I was looking at the Canon Powershot A620, but I'm very afraid of the E18 error. Can anyone point me in the right direction on buying a camera similar to the A620? Thanks, any help is appreciated!

BrianThe 620 is a fine camera. Any camera you buy has a statistically equal chance of breaking...on a percentage basis, Canon is no worse than any other manufacturer. As a matter of fact, in satisfaction survey earlier this year, Canon finished on top: http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,118514,pg,8,00.asp

They also finished first in a J.D. Power survey as well...
